WHO WE ARE

Tatim Lace (LCSW)
He | Him | His or They | Them | Theirs
Tatim is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in private practice since 2022, bringing a breadth of experience from community-based settings including in-home family therapy, crisis response, domestic violence work, and supporting adolescents involved in the criminal justice system. These experiences continue to inform a grounded, compassionate, and practical approach to care.

Known for being down-to-earth and approachable, Tatim creates a space that feels both supportive and real. Their style is collaborative and engaging—they’ll meet you where you are, while also offering gentle (and sometimes firm) encouragement to help you move toward your goals. Building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships is at the heart of their work, and they genuinely enjoy cheering clients on as they grow.

Tatim is a queer and gender-expansive affirming provider with lived experience as a queer and trans person. They are deeply committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space for clients of all identities. Their work is rooted in sex positivity, health-at-every-size and fat-positive perspectives. They enjoy providing neurodiversity-affirming care for ADHD and autistic clients, honoring that there is no single “right” way to function, thrive, or exist. Tatim greatly enjoys working with clients to identify the accommodations that can improve their daily lives.

He also brings extensive experience working with the unique intersections of complex trauma and marginalized identities, supporting clients in making sense of their experiences while building resilience and self-trust.

Outside of the therapy room, Tatim serves on the board of directors for Charlotte Trans Health and is passionate about expanding access to care for the local LGBTQ+ community. Originally from rural Pennsylvania, they’ve proudly called the Queen City home for nearly a decade. In his free time, you can find him spending time with chosen family, playing video games, junk journaling, or relaxing with their cats and dogs.

Tatim reserves a small portion of their caseload for queer couples' therapy and greatly enjoys the unique energy of this work. If you’re interested in working together, feel free to complete an inquiry form or reach out directly via email for a free consultation call and to learn more about Tatim's therapeutic approach and options for couples or individual sessions.
