WHO WE ARE

Olive Blackwood, LMFTA
She | Her | Hers or They | Them | Theirs

Olive is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate who recognises that healing rarely follows a straight line, and that moments of humour often find their way in. She brings curiosity, a dry wit, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience. Her sessions are conversational and collaborative, focused on understanding rather than judgment.

With a background spanning crisis work, education, athletics, and the arts, she is at ease in a wide range of human experiences. She takes a trauma-informed, collaborative approach to help clients make sense of identity shifts, stuck patterns, and relationship dynamics that seem to defy logic.

Away from the therapy room, she can often be found watching true crime or negotiating with a strong-willed French bulldog. She holds graduate degrees in Education (San Francisco State University) and Counseling Psychology (The Wright Institute) and practices under the supervision of Lori Torres, LMFT #1603, while engaging in ongoing consultation and professional development.
