Olive Blackwood, LMFTA

She | Her | Hers or They | Them | Theirs

Olive is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate who believes that healing isn’t always linear, tidy, or Instagrammable—but it is possible (and sometimes even funny). They show up with curiosity, a dry sense of humour, and deep respect for the beautifully complex humans they work with. Therapy with Olive is more conversation than clinical; more "let's figure out this alphabet soup together" than "here's a plethora of things you're doing wrong."

Their background includes crisis counseling, education, athletics, and the arts—which means they’re comfortable in a lot of different emotional landscapes, and they’re not afraid to sit with the heavy stuff. Whether you're navigating identity shifts, emotional roadblocks, or relationship dynamics that feel like a Rubik’s Cube with extra sides, Olive brings a collaborative, emotionally-focused, trauma-informed approach to help you make sense of it all.

They practice through a Health at Every Size® lens, supporting folks in building kinder, more sustainable relationships with their bodies, food, and movement—no diet talk, no shame, no “just try yoga” energy.

When they’re not in session, they’re probably watching true crime documentaries or being bossed around by a very opinionated French bulldog. They hold graduate degrees in Education (San Francisco State University) and Counseling Psychology (The Wright Institute), and work under the supervision of Lori Torres, LMFT #1603. They also participate in regular consultation—because therapists need growth and accountability too.
